Corian can be "thermoformed" into shapes
The material is inert, nontoxic,
It can be cut, routed, sandblasted, inlaid, moulded to create virtually any conceivable shape
It won't chip or peel and can be sanded down and buffed if damaged
Made mostly of acrylic or polyester resins and fillers, color-fast Corian is about as low-maintenance as you can get. Nonporous and nonstaining, it can be cleaned with a sponge. Just about the only threat is high heat, yet even a scorch-mark is repairable.
