Project Management & Installation

Following the client approval a dedicated qualified Project Manager takes full responsibility for ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the full satisfaction of the customer. Our installation teams are factory trained and certified to work in all fields and compliant with current Health & Safety standards.

ScoMac take full responsibility whether it is a single item or a full kitchen, all appliances and components for a project are collated in the nearest ScoMac Branch warehouse, delivery to site is on ScoMac transport and off loaded by the ScoMac site team.

The dedicated Project Manager carries out pre handover inspection to ensure a defect free installation is achieved. Every project completed is followed by rigorous testing, commissioning, staff training and full sets of operation & maintenance manuals are presented to the client

ScoMac is a market leader in the bespoke manufacture of foodservice solutions to the catering, retail and leisure industries.

The ScoMac production team provide support to their design and sales colleagues by working closely in the development of the client’s specification. The focus of the whole team is to ensure the end result enhances the existing architectural styling, complements the interior designer’s new concept or if required are able to offer design styling suggestions of their own. They have the full range of materials available to them from stainless steel, granites, slate, stone composites, acrylic solid surfaces, laminates, soft and hard woods.

The highly qualified sheet metal craftsmen, metal polishers, joiners, electrical and refrigeration technicians are all dedicated to meet every detail of the client’s specification to the highest possible standard, within budget and on time.

Stellex were acquired by ScoMac Catering Equipment in October 2010 to provide additional manufacturing capacity. Stellex brings existing ScoMac customer’s a range of hot, cold and ambient modular counters that can be used on their own as a functional cafeteria counter, or that can be complemented by ScoMac customisation creating even higher quality finishes.

Stellex have been manufacturing stainless steel catering equipment for over 70 years, employing the latest technologies when manufacturing products. Changing legislation, health and safety and of course energy efficiency form the basis of the product development process. Equipment is manufactured using the highest specification of stainless steel and components required. A flow of reliability courses through the design and manufacturing processes of the equipment, which is monitored and assessed at every stage of design and manufacture.

The Stellex product range extends from standard tabling, benches and sinks to modular hot, chilled and ambient foodservice counters suitable for a wide variety of applications.

Service, Preventative Maintenance & Repair

ScoMac provide the full range of support and services to its clients, this includes preventative planned maintenance, general service and reactive breakdown repair.

The field service technician are trained in all types of catering equipment from gas and electrical cooking appliances, dishwashers, refrigeration cabinets, coldrooms to counter top items such as microwaves and toasters.

Dedicated to customer satisfaction, the after care of your equipment is our high priority. Our Service Division offers full aftercare cover for all of your catering equipment. The Highest Standards

We can supply and install or advise equipment to the following standards:

  • Installation to comply with Gas Safe Regulations, WRAS Local Water Authority Byelaws and Electrical IEE Regulations.
  • Using only fully qualified engineers, NIC EIC approved electricians.
  • Comcat Trained Commercial Gas Installers, installed to comply with BS6173:2001
  • Gas interlock systems.
  • All site workers hold current CSCS cards (health and safety on construction sites).

Regulations that we abide and design to:

  • DW172 Guidelines for Kitchen Canopy and Extract design and installation.
  • Food Safety Regulations 1995.
  • Ministry of Defence – Specification 42.
  • General Health and Safety Guidelines.
